Bulk organic Kamut, also known as Khorasan wheat or oriental wheat, is a member of the wheat family although many who are wheat intolerant seem to eat kamut with no problems. An ancient grain, it was originally grown in the middle east and is known for its rich, nutty flavor and variety of uses in baked goods, bread, pastas and even beer brewing. The best way to prepare Kamut is by soaking the kernels overnight then add one cup of Kamut to three cups of water and boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 – 40 minutes until tender.
